Cell therapies for peripheral vascular diseases and ischemia

Peripheral vascular diseases, including peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and critical limb ischemia, are conditions where reduced blood flow leads to tissue damage. MSC cell therapies offer an innovative approach by directly promoting angiogenesis and vascularization.

MSC cells secrete angiogenic factors such as VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) and FGF (fibroblast growth factor), which stimulate the growth of new blood vessels. Clinical studies have shown improved tissue perfusion, reduced rest pain, and decreased risk of amputation in patients with critical ischemia.

GaiaCell is developing MSC therapies for vascular indications, including intramuscular and intra-arterial applications. Our protocols are designed for maximum therapeutic efficacy in patients with no other treatment options.
